Instructions on how to turn on JavaScript

Our website requires JavaScript (scripting) to be turned on in order to be able to experience the multi-media slide shows, graphics and navigation system. JavaScript is turned on by default by all web browsers but some aggressive anti-virus, anti-spyware programs or overly helpful friends may disable it.

Below are instructions for various web browsers on various operatings systems to re-enable scripting in your browser.

If you do not find instructions below for your present setup, try using Google to search for instructions.

  1. Go to http://google.com
  2. Type in your browser (ie. Firefox), it’s version (ie. 2), and your operating system (ie. Windows XP) plus the phrase "turn on javascript".
  3. Alternately, use the Help menu on your web browser or go to the website for your browser.

Microsoft Internet Explorer

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x and 6.x (Windows)
  1. Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. Seclect the Internet Zone.
  4. Click the button near the bottom that says Default Level.
  5. Click OK to leave Security Settings.
  6. Click OK to leave Internet Options.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 or 5.x (Macintosh)

Forget it. Upgrade to a modern web browser like Safari or at least Firefox. None of our website can be rendered correctly by this web browser.

Firefox

Firefox 1 (Windows)
  1. Select Tools from the menu bar and click on Options.
  2. Click on Web Features to show additional options.
  3. Click on the checkbox next to "Enable JavaScript".
  4. Click the "OK" button.
Firefox 1.5 (Windows)
  1. Select "Tools" from the menu bar and click on Options.
  2. Click on Content to show additional options.
  3. Click on the checkbox next to "Enable JavaScript".
  4. Click the "OK" button.

Mozilla

Mozilla (Windows)
  1. Select Edit from the menu bar and click on Preferences.
  2. Click on plus sign next to Advanced to show Advanced options.
  3. Click on Scripts & Plugins.
  4. Click on the checkbox next to Navigator under Enable JavaScript for.
  5. Click the OK button.
  6. Close this window and Click the Reload button in the browser’s row of icons.
Mozilla (Macintosh)
  1. Select Mozilla under OS X or Edit under earlier OSs from the menu bar and click on Preferences.... Click on triangle next to Advanced to open sub-menu if needed.
  2. Click on Scripts & Plugins.
  3. Click on checkbox next to Navigator under Enable JavaScript for.
  4. Click the OK button.
  5. Close this window and Click the Reload button in the browser’s row of icons.

Netscape

Netscape 7.x (Windows)
  1. Select Preferences from the Edit menu.
  2. Click Advanced on the left side of the dialog box.
  3. Check the box next to Enable Java. Click the OK button.
Netscape 4 - 6.x (Windows, Macintosh)

Forget it. Upgrade to a modern web browser. None of our website can be rendered correctly in these old browsers.

Safari

Safari for Macintosh
  1. Select Safari from the menu bar and click on Preferences....
  2. Click on the Security icon.
  3. Click on checkbox next to Enable JavaScript.
  4. Close that window.
  5. Close this window and Click the Reload button in the browser’s row of icons.

Opera

  1. Push your F12 button to bring up "Quick Preferences" (or click on the Tools menu and select "Quick Preferences."
  2. Click on the option to "Enable JavaScript."
  3. Reload (Ctrl+R) the page you were trying to view.

America Online

America Online (Windows)
  1. Select Settings.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Select Internet Properties.
  4. Select Custom Level.
  5. Scroll down the Custom Level screen to Scripting.
  6. Enable Active Scripting.
  7. Select Okay.
  8. Select Yes that you want to change the security settings.
  9. Select Okay.
  10. Close the Preferneces window.
  11. Close this window and Click the Reload button in the browser’s row of icons.
America Online (Mac OS X)
  1. Select AOL from the menu bar and click on Preferences....
  2. Click on the www icon in the scrolling list on the left side.
  3. Click on the Content tab.
  4. Click on checkbox next to Enable Javascript.
  5. Click the OK button.
  6. Close this window and Click the Reload button in the browser’s row of icons.
