Hindu Festivals at Barsana Dham are celebrated in a devotional style that brings back the Divine originality of such joyous occasions. Elaborate plays of Radha Krishn’s (Krishna) appearance and leelas during the Janmashtmi and Radha Ashtmi celebrations are highly acclaimed. Buses of devotees arrive to offer their prayers at the Gopeshwar Mahadev shrine during the Shiv ratri festival. The Grand Chariot Procession and dances from around India and the world are highlights of the Radha Rani Rath Yatra held every year on Sharat Poornima. Clouds of red powder and the joyful chanting of Holi songs fill the air during the festival of color. Tulsidasji’s words of praise of Lord Ram resonate in the Temple Hall during Ram Navmi and thousands of tiny lights glimmer against the night sky as thousands enjoy raas garba and a spectacular fireworks display on Divali.
