When Shree Radha Rani distributed the Bliss of maharas to Her loving Gopis, the atmosphere of the whole of Vrindaban was perfumed with the scent of the flowers of all the seasons that bloomed together to intensify the charm of the full moon night of the Sharat Poornima. The breeze was cool and fragrant, the sky was clear with some scattered clouds and the weather was pleasant. We incorporated all the feelings of these writings of the Bhagwatam in constructing Shree Raseshwari Radha Rani Temple.
The name Raseshwari
Shree Radha Rani has hundreds of names. Raseshwari is one of Her most important names. It comes from Radhikopnishad and refers to the oneness of Radha Krishn as Radha. The temple is designed in such a way that it captures the heart of a devotee and his mind feels a devotional excitement where he finds his beloved Radha Krishn closer to his heart. On both sides of the shrine there are large glass windows overlooking the hill, the native flowers, the holy pool Radha Kund, Maharas Mandal and the garden. It appears as if the shrine is situated in a true nikunj—a blossoming garden of a beautiful hilly area under the early morning sky where the fragrant breeze is caressing the temple of Radha Rani Raseshwari.
Temple architecture
It is an excellent achievement of North Indian, South Indian, ancient, and modern styles of architecture. The floral patterns on the entrance doors, the entrance of the shrine and the style of columns are marvelous. There are 84 columns and five levels in the building with covered area of 35,000 sq. feet.
Divine messages of our scriptures
as depicted in the main hall
A very unique and important feature of the Temple satsang hall is that it depicts the essence of the entire Bhartiya philosophy. The most important themes of the essential scriptures are described in a continuous panel on the sides of the hall highlighted by beautiful and inspiring devotional pictures of Radha and Krishn all displayed under a grand and realistic depiction of the sky.
